Issues with Endnote 20

Hi all, I have a few questions that I hope someone can answer. After upgrading to Endnote 20, I am having the following significant issues, along with several unstated minor glitches…

  1. When using cite while you write, I cannot enter a citation using the Author (Year) format, only (Author, Year). This does not work on my laptop (2020 Dell XPS), but does work on my desktop (2018 XPS Tower). 

  2. Check for reference updates does not work. When I click on “check for reference updates” from the main reference’s menu, nothing happens. When I right click on the reference, it checks for an update, but never translates the updates into the reference file, so the meta-data is still the same as before updating reference information.
