PDF - extend the completion of reference information to include PDF's without a DOI

When importing PDF’s it would be nice if the search to find further information, to supplement that found in the PDF, could be extended to search where no DOI is found in the PDF imported. Currently crossref.org is only searched if a DOI is found.

I have been testing EndNote against other applications on the market and they do this and allow the user to confirm if the additional information found is the correct.

I fully agree with this comment. Other programs like Citavi seem to perform better. Why does not Endnote allow to complete the reference with cross-checking the entries at least from Google Scholar?
