It would be nice to have all my pdf files renamed when I attach them to a particular reference. Another important feature would be to allow more complexity in grouping reference (e.g. subfolders etc.). it would also be good to have a reference manager that can be linked to mind maps and ideas. It would help a lot during the writing process. Of course, all those levels of grouping should be reflected in the way the PDF folder organizer store the files.
Wouldn’t that mean that the same PDFs, if included in multiple groups, would be replicated multiple times? I think this request is untenable. The power of Endnote is to group things and open the PDFs from the library not to organize a folder structure on a computer? Deeper layering, and more streamlined naming of PDF locations (not repeating the file name in full in a folder of the same name, for example) would be wonderful in light of the file name constraints of the Windows operating system, but not organizing them on the fly when you add a record to a group or subgroup?
Of course, all those levels of grouping should be reflected in the way the PDF folder organizer store the files.
I fully agree… this is a must have
I agree with the pdf file renaming
