My problem is the following. There are certain citations that I use that require writing an institution name in the author field. For example “Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)”
When I do that, the citation appears as follows "(CDC) CfDCaP … " how can avoid that…?

I just had to figure that one out, myself. After digging around far too long in the help file that comes with the program, I finally found the answer. Put a comma at the end of the name of the institution. For example, you would type the following in the Author field:
Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC),
