pulling Word endnotes into EndNote library?

I’m using a demo version of EndNote X5 with Word 2008 for Mac (version 12.1.0)  I have a  document that has citations as Word endnotes and would like to move those into an EndNote library.  This is my first experience using EndNote, so I’m not sure how to do this.

I think on the endnote ribbon, as a choice in the export dropdown, you will find an “export word citations”.
