Every time I try and create a smart group using the ‘added to the library’ as the field endnote crashes and quits. Is it just me, or is there a solution?

This crash is a known issue. As a simple workaround, you can do your search on the main search panel, then from the “Options” button choose “Convert to Smart Group” to save the search criteria as a Smart Group.
