Can't delete broken attachment links (EndNote 2025)

I find that if I have broken links (absolute, not relative), and if they’re broken, the option to delete the broken link is greyed out. The corrected link in the same record works fine - they can be deleted.

Anyone else run into this and have a workaround? Besides deleting the entire record?

I have had the same problem. The solution was to reinstate the file at the position (or at least a file with the same name) and then you will be able to delete the link. At the time I communicated this solution to the EndNote support people.
