EndNote 2025 should consider creating a Google Extension that allows users to directly import citation information from any website, including YouTube. While Zotero is a free reference manager, it offers a very functional extension called ‘Zotero Connector’ that can capture reference information from virtually any webpage and online multimedia source. Currently, when I want to capture citation details from a YouTube video, I have to do it through Zotero, then export the reference to a RIS file in order to import it into EndNote. This process is quite time-consuming. Although EndNote Click works well with academic databases, many experts also have podcasts on YouTube that I would like to reference. Please extend the EndNote Click function to include references from other websites and YouTube.

This would be so useful! and using AI to extract the right information from PDFs
Absolutely NOT! We don’t want AI anywhere near EndNote or any other bibliographic app.
AI can’t be trusted.
