Editing reference fields in endnote X4 for Mac.

Hi,

I am trying to make use of one of the “Custom” fields in endnote X4.  I know I have to go into pref -> reference fields -> modify etc. but when I do that, I see NOTHING in the list.  It is completely blank.  Regardless of which reference type I try to edit.  Not only that, but endnote essentially freezes. It will not let me press cancel or OK to get out of the window.  It is quite annoying.

Did you install the Mac update for EndNote X4 which upgrades X4 to X4.0.2?

In your toolbar click Help > EndNote Program Updates or go to http://endnote.com/downloads/available-updates
