Endnote crashing with Big RIS files

Dear all, 

I am trying to import RIS files with more than 8000 entries each. But, the endnote keeps crashing (I have the latest 9.3.3 and tried on a Mac and also Windows). I also tried to break the RIS files into smaller ones before importing. It works fine till I reach around 4000-4500 entries and then again crashes.

I am stuck with this for around 7 hours now and have not been able to resolve the issue.

Any insights will be appreciated.
