EndNote Web registration could not be completed.

Good afternoon!

I have just bought Endnote X5 for my Macbook Pro and when I try activating MyWebNote I get this message:

----  EndNote Web registration could not be completed. The serial number associated with your EndNote subscription has already been used.

How can it have been used before when I have just bought the software?

Hello Diana,

According to our records, an EndNote Web account has already been registered through EndNote X5 desktop on the Mac. The account was upgraded from your existing EndNote Web account using the same email address you use on the Forum yesterday.
