I’ve had this problem off and on for a while, but now, I can’t seem to fix this. We’re using Word XP with EndNote X.0.2.
I give the user admin rights and install the X.0.2 update, and everything looks ok. I remove the rights, and it seems like it will work for a day or so, then the Word toolbar changes to EndNote Web and I can’t change it back without giving the user admin rights and reinstalling the patch.
In our training room, as soon as I remove the admin rights from the training ids, the toolbar changes to EndNote Web. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? As long as they have admin rights, it works correctly, but that’s not an option I can use.
