EndNote X3 keyboard shortcuts in OpenOffice?

I have a small problem. I’m using EndNote X3 and OpenOffice 3.2. My problem is that EndNote keyboard shortcuts do not work in OpenOffice. I can get CWYW, for example, to work with mouse clicks; however, if I type ‘Alt + 7’ to enter a citation (as you can do in Word), nothing happens.

Does anyone know why?

I have a suspicion that the appropriate macros were not included when making EndNote compatible with OpenOffice.

OpenOffice plug in is relatively new addition, and the functions are not equal to MS Word plug in. The preference for OOo writer plug in doesn’t have many options. I guess more user pressure will make them improve the plug in, so it is better to submit a request.
