keyboard shortcuts X3 not working in word 2007

hi guys

could really use some help - i’ve scoured the net looking for a fix and have checked everything from the FAQs etc.

For some reason i have the CWYW toolbar in word 2007 but when i try to use alt+2 for insert citation or any of the other keyboard shortcuts they do not work.

i am running word 2007, x3 and windows 7

any ideas? all would be greatly appreciated

I had this problem too but just solved it.  I still had my Endnote 9 addins appearing the Addins tab in Word07.  To switch these off in Word go to: Word Options > Add-ins > Manage word add-ins & go.  uncheck any that relate to 9 and your ALT+2 will work.  Good luck.

i don’t think i’d have any files for endnote 9 as this is a new computer and i have only ever tried to install x3

yup thats right

the toolbar is there and works but the keyboard short cuts don’t work

I’m Word 2007 (including the EndNote add-ins) with X3 and Windows Vista and it seems the keyboard shortcuts work.  The problem might lie with the X3 installation, Windows 7 or possibly the drivers.  To isolate the problem you could start with the simplest of checking/updating the drivers - if that’s not the problem, move onto to removing/reinstalling X3.  Another possibility might be to rollback compatibility settings in Windows 7 for X3 to see if that works (or not).
