EndNote X7.2 CWWY not working in Word 2013

I just upgraded from Word 2010 to Word 2013 (Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013, 32 bit) on Windows 7 (64 bit).  EndNote’s Cite While You Write is no longer working in Word (I no longer see the EndNote tab).  I am running EndNote X7.2.  I tried reinstalling EndNote X7.2, but that didn’t solve the problem.  I also tried running the “Configure EndNote” program, and I made sure CWWY was checked, but it didn’t solve the problem either.  How can I enable CWWY on Word 2013?  It used to work fine for me on Word 2010.

Thanks in advance!

Since it looks like you tried everything here: http://endnote.com/kb/127988

I would call tech support http://endnote.com/support

or maybe try this one (even though it sounds like they were never there).

This Article is intended to restore the EndNote CWYW tools. If you’ve never seen the EndNote tools loaded in Word, please see the Article with installation steps for your version of EndNote and Word.

Word 2007/2010/2013:

  1. Word 2007 : Click on the Office icon and select “Word Options.”
Word 2010/2013 : Click on the File ribbon and select “Options.”
  2. Click on “Add-ins.”
  3. Change the “Manage” options to “Disabled Items.”
  4. Click Go.
  5. Highlight any EndNote item(s) and click “Enable.”
  6. Click OK.

Thanks Leanne.  This solved the problem by activating the EndNote add-in under Microsoft Word options.  Thanks!
