Now that EndNote requires a new password every 6 months, it would be really nice if there was an easier way to reset your password. Currently you have to leave the desktop application and go to EndNote online, and then click on “forgot password”. This process is neither intuitive nor easy and my users are struggling.

Changing the password this frequently is counterproductive. I discussed it with Endnote developers, and their reasons did not stand up.
They quoted part of a security standard in the same way religious people quote a single cherry-picked verse from the scriptures. However, the following paragraphs explained that for systems like Endnote changing the password frequently usually reduced security and is counterproductive.
The developers would not discuss this so it appears what ever reason they are pushing this 6 monthly PW change is not for security.
