Wrong password error message

I updated my password on the EndNote web & now receiving error message when try to Sync - doesn’t recognise password. How to correct?

When you change your EndNote Online password, the desktop app won’t automatically update — you have to tell it your new one.

Here’s how to fix it:

  1. Open EndNote desktop

  2. Go to Sync settings

  • In Windows: Click Edit → Preferences → Sync
    
  • In Mac: Click EndNote (top menu) → Preferences → Sync
    
  1. Update your credentials
  2. Sync again
