"Find full text" less effective than before?

After recently updating from EndNote X9 to version 2025, my subjective impression is the the current version is less effective in finding publicly available full-text PDFs of articles added to a library. There have been several cases where full-text PDFs ware available for download through PubMed, journal sites, or even EndNote Web, which were, however, not found by my locally installed version of EndNote. My subjective impression is that EndNote X9 was significantly better at locating full texts.

Has anybody made similar observations, or is there something wrong with my perception?

I agree that this function has become less successful. I think that one of the main reasons for this is that more and more publishers block robot downloads like the one EndNote is using, even though you have access to the pdf through subscription or open access. I suspect that the reason may be that they are blocking all the AIs from using their content for training.
