how to group bibliography in the layout?

Hi all,

 

May I ask for your help for an layout issue?  Currently the layout of the bibliography is one reference per bibliography number as follows,

 

(3)    Peleshanko, S.; Tsukruk, V. V. Prog. Polym. Sci. 2008, 33, 523-580.

(4)    Maynard, H. D.; Okada, S. Y.; Grubbs, R. H. Macromolecules 2000, 33, 6239-6248.

(5)    Irvine, D. J.; Mayes, A. M.; Griffith, L. G. Biomacromolecules 2001, 2, 85-94.

 

How can I change the layout to something like this by putting similar references in a group to save space? 

 

(3)    (a) Peleshanko, S.; Tsukruk, V. V. Prog. Polym. Sci. 2008, 33, 523-580.; (b)  Maynard, H. D.; Okada, S. Y.; Grubbs, R. H. Macromolecules 2000, 33, 6239-6248. (c) Irvine, D. J.; Mayes, A. M.; Griffith, L. G. Biomacromolecules 2001, 2, 85-94.
