Importing PDFs destroys file tags in Mavericks (EN X7.0.1, Mac OS 10.9)

I have tagged some PDFs in Mavericks.  When I import them into EN, whether through file/import or through putting in the folder designated for automatic import, the tags are absent in the version within the EN library.  This would not seem to be the desired behavior.  

Help?!

In order to try to reproduce the behavior you have described, we would need to know the application you used and the steps you followed when tagging the PDFs.
