To the developers
I would like to see the following changes:
1. Have choices to control the colour of the menu. Specifically, the black colour in the menu area should be able to be changed to a pale colour from a drop-down list.
2. The size of the font should be changeable, at least in the range between 10 and 18, so that vision impaired users can see the words.
3. The size of icons in the menu should be changeable. Look at the difference in the size of the sets (A & B) of icons in the marked areas below. They should be the same size and the size of B.
4. The area marked in blue takes up too much space. The area around the search menu items could be reduced in size and or the items could be positioned to the left and the icons could be positioned to the right on the same line. The ‘All References’ is an unnecessary duplication (wasted use of space) and the number of references is unnecessary because the number is displayed in the menu to the upper left.
5. At present to fill in the Author, Date, Title, Journal, pages to complete a citation requires that I a. select the reference and click to open new window, b. select “Edit & PDF”, c. copy each of the items needed to fill the citation, d. close the window, e. start over with the next entry to be edited. In 9.3.3 the two columns needed to preform the transfer from the PDF to the citation record were able to be positioned side by side on the screen and the necessary information could be transferred easily and quickly without the extra mouse movements and clicks.
