Dear all,

I wanna have the first three letters of first author’s last name and the number of reference in brackets in my text. For instance: if author’s last name is Whitehead and it is my first reference, so: [Whi01].

Endnote doesn’t have this automated.  See here for a work around, or perhaps contact via Private message, the writer of the tool described here - for a version that might work for you.  (Masaaki (aka myoshigi)  just posted a request in the Suggestions forum, so you might leave a message there).
