Inputting a government law manually

I am trying to update my references by manually inputting a government document, namely the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

I will be using APA 6th style for all references and the APA reference should look like this in my reference section:

Civil Rights Act of 1964 § 7, 42 U.S.C. § 2000e et seq (1964).

What should I type into which sections when adding a new reference to get my endnote reference to look like the above APA reference?

After looking at both the “Government Document” and “Legal Rule or Regulation” bibliography template, it seems the latter might be better suited and also require the least amount of modification.

So would recommend;

  1. Entering the information into the Legal Rule or Regulation reference template as shown in image 1.

  2. Modifying the Legal Rule or Regulation bibliography template as shown in image 2.

Am also including a modified APA 6th output style file showing the changed Legal Rule or Regulation bibliography template for your reference.
