License activation requires admin permission

We do noticed the article suggesting to run EndNote as administrator in order to activate the license.

This does not make sense when we’re deploying EndNote to multiple users in our company. There are many more big names vendor which does not need admin permission to activate license and way simpler. We did tried unlocked permission the entire folder “C:\Program Files (x86)\EndNote X9”, but still the command “Configure EndNote.exe /activate #########” must require administrator rights.

Could you please kindly advise other alternative user-friendly way for the license activation part.

We hope you could take consideration and improve this soonest possible. It’ll be nightmare imagine if multiple users logging incident cases complain about this UAC prompt for license activation.
