MLA style seems to be non-standard in Endnote 7.1

As far as I’m aware, an in-text citation in MLA style should not have “p” before the page number.

However, Endnote is inserting these.

For example, I believe the citation should read:

(Galper 299)

but Endote is creating

(Galper, 2003, p.299)

What is going on here and how do I fix it?

Thanks

Darren

The style you seem to be using appears to be one of the standard “Author-Date” styles rather than MLA. In the word document in windows, verify on the EndNote X7 tab that the style listed is “MLA”. On a Mac version of Word, go to the Tools menu and choose Tools, EndNote X7 and choose “Configure Bibliography”. on the list here change the style to MLA. Changing the style in other places does not update the word document.

Thanks,

Colin
