Problem - Citations don't continue as one set of references

Hi All,

I am using Endnote X2 and has encountered this problem that the Citations don’t seems to continue as one set of references when I work on the text at different times.

The sample below depicts the problem that I am facing.

2.        Gluz O, Liedtke C, Gottschalk N, …:1913-1927.

3.        Ivanov O, Chen F, Wiley EL, et al. …. 2008;111:411-417.

4.        Pintens S… 2009;62:624-628.

5.        Rakha EA, Tan …. 2007;9:404; author reply 405.

1.        Hudis, C.A., et al., … p. 2127-32.

2.        Allred, D.C., et al., … 11(2): p. 155-68.

On day one, 5 citations were added. On day two, 2 more citations were added but the numbering start from 1 instead of continuing from 6 onwards.

Any advise?

Thanks.

Seah

Strange.  Are they footnotes or in a bibliography.  Have you tried (on a copy) unformatting and reformating?  What platform and what version of word?

added in edit  – oh yes, and what Style?
