When I convert my entire EndNote library into an Excel table, for some reason, one reference is always missing. And it is not clear which one. I am using EndNote x6 and Excel 2007. Thank you in advance!
Are you exporting from EndNote into a tab-delimited text file?
If you have a duplicate record in your library it is possible that EndNote is not exporting it. To make sure that EndNote exports all of the records in the library are exported there is a preference you can temporarily turn off.
If you are using a Windows version of EndNote click on Edit > Preferences > Formatting and uncheck the box for “Merge duplicates in bibliography.” If you on a Mac you can get to preferences by clicking on the EndNote menu next to the Apple menu in the upper left corner of the screen.
