Reference List at end of Word Document - urgent!

I am new to Endnote - I have managed to put my references into Word. However, everytime I have used a reference it appears in my reference list (i.e. not just the once). How do I remove all of the seperate references to be left with just the books/journals that I have used (i.e. not each time the book has been used).

Please attach the output style you are using.  Are you using footnotes or bibliography settings?  Do you have multiple records/reference or just one (check for duplicates) in your library.
