I want to be able to sort references in different folders/groups differently. I don’t want it to affect everything else.
Not exactly sure what you asking but you can sort things to folders by adding specific keywords or by searches on any field, and then create a smart group from that search (in the dropdown under “search options”. Then when a new record is added with that criterion (and you can combine searches, to make more elaborate combinations), it will be automatically added to the group. records can belong to more than one group as well.
Yes, thank you. I am wanting to sort within different folders (groups) in different ways. For example, in group A, I want it to stay sorted by publication year, and in folder B, I want it to stay sorted alphabetically by author. As it is now, if you sort by “date added” (as an example), it will sort all folders/groups in the same manner.
gotch ya. yes, that isn’t possible. I just click on the top to sort by the preferred field once in the group.
