There is no space between the numbering and the text in my references list as you see in the attached picture. would you please help me how to fix it.

I have Endnote X9, so, I will explain it according to X9. Please go to Edit menu. Choose Output Styles and then choose the style which you want to edit (In my case, it is MDPI ACS).
On the left side of the window, choose “Layout” under “Bibliography.” Right now, you do not have a space after “Bibliography Number.” You can add space by choosing “Tab” from the “Insert Field” option on the top right corner. After you click the “Tab” option, you will see a right-pointing arrow after “Bibliography Number.” Save the changes as a new style and use this new style. Please see the attached image.
