This functionnality seems very attractive, but it seems to me that the way it is currently working is not of too much help: we have to specify extra information (the preferred field) with the classical {author, year}. Then, the label of this option is confusing, because when using record number, we just have to specify the record number and nothing else.
I then guessed, that it would be OK to give solely the new field, let’s say <label>; like this way : {#<label>}. This would be of great interest (at least for me): it will allow to manage your own references and to call them in your documents with no other information to give.
Is this to be implemented?
