I’ve ordered EndNote through school. Till it gets here, can I use the trial, and then just install the registration info Or install the registered version right over the trail without problems?

If you’ve purchased EndNote, the advice from Thomson Reuters is to remove the trial version then install the “full” software: http://www.endnote.com/support/faqs/Install/faq2.asp
_"If you decide to purchase EndNote, you must uninstall the demo version before installing the full version.
While it is always a good idea to back important data up first, uninstalling should not remove, delete or damage any library information created with the demo."_

With the new version, EndNote X4, you can easily convert the trial version into a full version with the purchase of a product code. There is no longer a need to uninstall and then re-install.
