Want EndNote X7 button, to open PDF using Adobe Acrobat, instead of EndNote's PDF reader

Hello, EndNote X7,

Can you please add a botton to EndNote X7 PDF window, so that when clicked it would open the PDF file in the Adobe Acrobe software, instead of EndNote’s PDF reader? It would be nice to give the user the option in preferences to choose between which programs will open a PDF file.

Hi Ata,

If you double click on any file attachment in the “file attachment” field of the “Reference” tab, it will open the document with whatever program you have set as the default in your computer.  I have assigned PDF-XChange as my default for opening PDF documents.  So, when I double click an attached PDF in EndNote, it opens the PDF with PDF-XChange rather than the EndNote viewer.
