What is the latest on Endnote X7.4 for Word for Mac 2016?

What is the latest on Endnote X7.4 for Word for Mac 2016? I have Word for Mac 2016 (Office 2016) installed, and also EndNote X7.4… but they can’t see each other. Like everyone else.

So where is development at with this? as at today’s date, Friday 14th August 2015.

“EndNote X7 is not currently compatible with Microsoft Word 2016 for Mac. We are actively developing a patch for EndNote X7 and anticipate this free update to be ready in Sept/Oct.”

Now I know. Hopefully September the earlier time…
