Using the EndNote beta X7.5p2, build 10976, with WORD lafor Mac 2016, latest update, (version 15.17.1) an error occurs when using  “Go to Endnote” from the WORD menu. Inserting a reference gives the same error. The error is called “A error occurred. ID = -600” (yes there is spelling error as well in this notification). See attached picture.

  1. What is it, how to fix it?
  2. And for the Thomson Reuters in their Ivory Tower:  when do we get a well working version of EndNote for WORD for Mac 2016?

I have this issue every time I launch Word (2011), whether or not I am running Endnote and even when no open documents have any Endnote content…

Did you get a response to this error? I’m experiencing the same problem the error pops up everytime I use word.

This error happens on Mac OS X 10.10 with the latest version of EndNote and word installed, you can either downgrade Word to 15.20 or upgrade the Mac OS X to 10.11. Details for doing this can be found here:
