I need to add in a new journal citation style that is not currently in the list that comes with Endnote. I have downloaded the .ens file already and have tried just going to file - import - selecting endnote import under import option and then importing the file I have, but it is not showing up as an option in the menu. I even tried restarting my computer after doing this in case it needed to update. Can someone please tell me how to get this new citation style into endnote? Thanks!! I have endnote v.4.
The import feature isn’t meant to install output styles. Refer to the knowledgebase article “Installing Additional Styles” - http://endnote.com/kb/106495
or just copy the style(s) to the folder thats listed under “Edit” -> “Preferences” -> “Folder Locations”.
Not sure why the KB-Article only mentions that for Version 8 to X1. Works with later versions too.
