Adding regular text inside an in-text citation

I need to embed an abbreviation for a word that falls at the end of the sentence within an in-text citation. How can I do this in EndNote so that the abbreviation and citation are separated by a semi-colon?

For example:

…standards set by the American Psychological Association (APA; Lastname et al. 2014).

Thank you in advance!

Right-click on the citation and choose “Edit Citations” > More.   In the Manage Citations dialog box enter APA; followed by a space in the Prefix field. Click OK to exit.

thanks! perfect
