Any way to print reference types table?

I have just upgraded to Endnote X7 from version 9 something. I have modified the reference types table and imported the modified one. I can see however that I created some problems by the way I renamed some of the fields and would like to see how my modifications compare with what Endnote has as default. I would like to print the Reference Types Table on paper and look at it. Is there a way to do it? I can see that I can click “Endnote default” and see on screen one refernece type at a time, but this does not cut it for me. In the old manuals in years past there were pages with the reference types table printed out on paper, it was very helpful, but the manual for X7 online does not seem to have this. I really hope there is a way as I need to fix my reference table. Thank you!

PS Eve if I can’t print my own refernce types table, can i download from somewhere and print the Endnote default ref types table layout for all reference types?

I think the problem is that there are so many reference types, that they can no longer be easily be visualized in a tabular format?

I have only ever found (at least in X7) - a somewhat manageable option, in the endnote help itself (hit F1), pages that show the generic and two reference types at a time.  See attached jpg for where this is in the “help topics” list on the contents tab.

Viewing your current list is more problematic.  You can export it as an XML file, but I haven’t found  a way to visualize this with out all the computer gobblety-gook.  You can also export your modified table from the old version and import it into the new version, but from your discussion, I think you already know that.  But if you want to undo that, you can restore the endnote default table there too.  All this is from Endnote, Edit>preferences - in the reference type options.  It is also where you can view the current ref types one at a time as compared to the generic (as you mentioned).

So the help topics view is really just a double column and not much better.

The complete manual (pdf) which contains the reference types tables can be found in the EndNote folder within the Programs folder on your computer’s hard drive.
