Author names in different output styles

One of the journal styles I use calls for an author John Frank Jones to appear as John F. Jones. Another calls for him to appear as John F Jones. Both want the full first given name and surname, but they disagree about using a period / full stop after the middle initial. How can I achieve this in the corresponding output styles?

there is an option to use or not use the full stop in the way authors appear in every output style. You would adjust it there, save as to a new name - so you can pick the output style you need for the journal you are submitting to.
