author with apostrophe in first name

I have an author name: Meng, Qing’an ;Endnote renders this to: Meng Q.a.

Based on other solutions I found in this forum I tried changing the entry to Meng, Qing’an but this renders it to: Meng, Qing’an (whereas my style requires abbreviating the first name)

Thoughts?
