Cannot click "edit or manage citation" in my Word; also, no Endnote add-in when I open my Word 2016 in Windows

Hi there,

I got two problems in my Endnote and my Word 2016.

I am using Endnote X7 (7.7 version, should be the latest one), and Word 2016 (pro plus, version 160.7127) in Windows system.

  1. There is always no Endnote tag when I open my Word. I always need to manually add-in Endnote by clicking “options” and add the “Endnote Cite While you Write.” Very annoying…

  2. The more serious problem is, I cannot edit or manage my citations in my Word file. The Word always crashed when I click the “edit or manage my citations” icon… And Word just closed and evey correction just gone…

Hope there is someone can help me…

Did they ever talk to each other, or have you recently installed or updated Word or Windows?  I would read this KB article first –
