Chrome/web and desktop library sync issues

Hi,

My endnote is not syncing libraries. Endnote desktop is installed by IT of my university (can’t see which account is logged in on desktop), and I signed up using my personal email on endnote Chrome of same laptop. I added the personal email on desktop using ‘sync’ feature but nothing shows up on either. Nothing is synced - personal account still has 2 references I added as test on web, and endnote desktop does not have those 2 references.

Not knowing which account is logged in on endnote desktop prevents me from adding references directly from chrome.

I recently shifted from mendeley to endnote, upon insistance of supervisor and I find the software not very user friendly.

Kindly guide.

Look at Edit > preferences and sync settings. (on the windows version, not sure where preferences are on the Mac version).

It is there you would add the account credentials and passowrd and which library to sync.

I have done those steps, entered credentials, sycned and still nothing syncs. I am using EndNote on my Windows work laptop.

From your work’s network? It maybe that you need to use the email from the University’s domain or first log in to endnote’s website from the Institute? If that doesn’t work, reach out to Endnote support Endnote
