Citations have gone all wrong...

Hi,

I opened up a paper I am writing up to discover all my citations have gone awry…basically, they are now several lines long and include lots of symbols etc (e.g. {ADDIN EN.CITE <EndNote><Cite><Author><Holzwarth><Author><Year>2006</Year><RecNum>22</RecNum><record>…this goes on for quite some time).  I have no idea what I have done to make this happen, but it’s not just in the one document - it’s every document I have used Endnote with!  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Field codes are showing. This is a Word setting.  Hit alt+f9.  (which is how you probably accidentally turned them on).
