citations show up multiple times

Hello,

i am using EndNote Web and CWYW in Word.

After updating the bibliography or changing other things,

Endnote seemingly randomly adds a second citation to

a (random) first one. Now some parts of the document look

something like this:

A can be seen as B (Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011)(Author, 2011) However, …

All these citations (including the first one) do not have a code anymore (and they do not show up gray). There is one citation still in the list which can be seen when clicking on Edit Citations.

Is there any way to remove them, whithout having to go through the whole text deleating and reimputing them?

Thanks!

In my experience, if you convert your citations to unformatted citations, then select all and Ctrl+6 to remove field codes and reformat, - it usually fixes this corruption.
