Cite while you write

Just got endnote X3 installed and I am trying to learn on the fly. Something happened last week…while working on a manuscript and inserting references using cite while you write, either MS word or Endnote frozen and shut down (fatal error, etc). When I started back up, my Endnote link in MS word was gone. Here is what I have tried to fix the problem

  1. Ran repair of Endnote…

  2. Remove Endnote and reinstalled…

  3. Downloaded a couple X3 upgrades…

Nothing tried has fixed the problem. I can open Endnote and search and add references and I can open MS Word (2007) and edit. But I cannot cite while I write…

Help!?

I am having the same problem…any update on the fix for this? Thanks!

After a little more searching around, this page has all the answers:

It took me going through almost all steps for both whatever version of Word you are running, as well as your Operating System. After going through all of those steps, I ran a repair from the installation file and the problem was solved! Good luck!

Thanks for that, at first, I was thinking that is because I used a trial microsoft word, but that problem also occurs on my other computer, so, I figured  out that are not the problem! so, any words programme can use cwyw

Many thanks
