Hi,
This error ‘Cite while you write could not connect to endnote. this may be due to a temporary internet or server error’ comes up as soon as I click on the endnote tab on word and it tries to connect. It still lets me onto the tab but when i try and search for my citations it comes up with the same message. It’s only happened in the last 2 days and I can’t think what would have caused it.
Anyone know how to fix it?

did you run any word or endnote updates?
No, my laptop did updates but it was already not working. I’ve tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it but it’s still not working!
Is it the desktop or Endnote “web” online tools? Maybe you inadvertantly have the wrong tool bar? If that is the case there are some knowledgebase articles. http://endnote.com/kb/82614
I suggest you call Tech support and see if they can help you trouble shoot – just too many moving parts to really help thru backs and forths in the forum. http://endnote.com/support
