Customizing printout

How can I select specific fields (e.g., Abstract, Research Notes) to include in a printout of references?

You’ll need to modify* the bibliography templates of your Endnote output style file to add the additional fields .

-------------
*Go to the Endnote toolbar and select Edit >Edit Output Styles >Edit [name of your output style]. In the output style’s dialog box locate the section labeled “Bibliography” and click on “Templates”. Now for each applicable template that you want to include the additional fields locate the template in place the cursor in the location where you want the additional fields then click the Insert button and select the field from the drop-down menu.

When you’ve completed adding the fields to the templates exit the output style dialog box which will save the changes to a new file having the word “copy” added to the file name. Change the setting in MS Word to use the new output style file.

Refer to the Endnote training video “Building a Simple EndNote Style: An EndNote Class Recording” around the 36:23 mark.

See if the style “annotation” provides what you want first.
