Deleting a hidden citation from the bibliography

Hi,

usually you delete citations from the bibliography simply by deleting the reference in the text. My problem now is that I set one of my citations to “show only in bibliography”, so I can’t delete it from the text itself.

If I delete it from the bibliography itself it always shows up again after updating it, and even deleting the citation from endnote itself doesn’t solve the problem.

How can I get rid of this citation?

Thank you for your help!!

The best way is to convert to unformatted citations (NOT TO PLAIN TEXT) always best to make a copy of the document first.

They then are there, plain as day, and you can delete what you want to delete from the text, which will delete them when you reformat from the bibliography.  Hard to know when you are deleting something that is invisible!
