On Mac OSX 10.11 (El Capitan), EndNote 7.5 automatically starts whenever I start Word 2011, and even when I simply open a new Word document. Endnote 7.0 worked fine. “Open Endnote when starting Word” is unchecked in CWYW preferences, so that’s not the issue. Endnote behaves fine with Word 2016, so the problem is limited to Word 2011. Anyone else seeing this? Much appreciated!
Yes I believe that this is a bug that has been reported - see this thread.
An update for EndNote has been released to address this issue. Please click on the EndNote menu and select Check for Updates. Make sure EndNote is updated to version X7.5.1.1 to resolve this issue.
