I’m interested wether I could use EndNote as a kind of relational database for establishing relations between citing and cited records? Is it possible to connect two EndNote libraries, a citing references file and another cited references enl file, to establish relations between them?

No, I don’t think it is possible to achieve a link between two databases.

My question is still open for comments for those would like to suggest a possible solution for this “problem”. I’m aware that most bib-managers are not programmed as relational databases, but maybe there is a backway to solve these kinds of problems!?
